Anyone else having issues with the Equator Auto trans down shifting.
If I get on it hard to pull a hill or pass it can take 10 to 20 mph to switch gears.
The first time I took it to the dealership they blamed it on my CAI and TBS.
I have an appt monday to have them look at it again.
We will see what they say this time.

Ok here is the deal. It is a problem on the Frontier and the Equator. The solution is to turn O\D off when you know you need the extra power and you want to smooth out the shifts. When you are ready to cruise turn it back on.

For the 35 mph causeway into my town I always use cruise control and turn off the overdrive. Prevents the trans from shifting back and forth over the bridges. I keep thinking that the CC has crapped out. I had to do the same thing in my F250.

I'll have to try it in a passing zone. I drive like an old fart. Can't remember the last time I passed someone on a two lane road.

Default You

You must be the one I have to pass then.
If you lived in TN.
We have idiots here who do 20 under the posted speed limit.
We also have a lot of people who use the pass\fast lane as their personal speed limit or less lane.
